Kawazu Sakura at Ichijo Modori Bashi

Have you heard of the Kawazu sakura? This type of cherry blossom is a beautiful pink color and blooms earlier than most, usually around late February or early March, depending on the region. If you are in Kyoto during this time, there are a few areas where you can catch a glimpse of the early Kawazu cherry blossoms, such as Yodo, Funaokayama, and Ichijo Modori Bashi Bridge. 

Speaking of Kawazu sakura at Ichijo Modori Bashi, it's home to a stunning and enormous Kawazu sakura tree. This tree stands alone in the city and is situated near a small canal and an old bridge, creating a charming and picturesque atmosphere. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!

From Kyoto station, take bus number 9 or 50, which takes around 25 minutes.

By Train

From Kyoto station, use the Karasuma Line to the closest station, which is Imadegawa Station.
